Scotland international captain Andy Robertson will miss the next three Liverpool games after he was sent off against North London outfit Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at the weekend. His red card ensured that Robertson will miss the next three Liverpool games in all competitions.
Robertson was given his marching orders in the 77th minute after his challenge on Tottenham Hotspur right-back Emerson Royal. The Scottish fullback was lucky to stay on the pitch until that point as he was on the end of a poor tackle from Spurs striker Harry Kane in the first half. Kane should have been sent off after giving Spurs a 13th minute lead off the assist from French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. Portugal international star Diogo Jota was the recipient of the Liverpool equaliser on 35 minutesoff the assist from the abovementioned Robertson as he scored his tenth league goal of the season. Jota is the now the second leading goalscorer in the Premier League after Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah who has 15 goals.
